Our Credit-Based Model

Instead of unlimited generations that you probably don't need, we use a credit system:

• Monthly plan ($14): 5,000 tokens per month
• Annual plan ($99): 6,000 tokens per month
• New users: 10,000 bonus tokens on signup
• CodeGuide migrants: Extra 10,000 bonus tokens

One complete documentation set (all 6 documents) typically uses 800-1,500 tokens depending on complexity. That means you can generate 3-6 full projects per month on the base plan.

Efficient AI Usage

We optimize every API call to OpenAI. Here's what that means:

• Smart model selection: We use o1-2025-12-17 for complex documentation and gpt-4o-mini for quick tasks like refining descriptions
• Streaming responses: You see progress immediately without buffering entire responses
• Precise prompts: Our prompts are engineered to get quality output in fewer tokens
• No retry waste: We track what works and only regenerate what fails

No Hidden Fees

What you see is what you pay:

• No setup fees or onboarding charges
• No per-user fees (invite your whole team)
• No export fees (download unlimited PDFs, Markdown, ZIPs)
• No version history fees (keep up to 10 versions per project)
• No API access fees (CLI and VS Code extension included)

Transparent Token Tracking

Your token balance is always visible in the navbar. We show you:

• Remaining credits with color-coded status (green/amber/red)
• Estimated cost before any AI operation
• Actual usage per document in your generation console
• Complete transaction history in your billing dashboard

When you drop below 10% balance, we send an email alert so you can top up before running out.

Credit Top-Ups When Needed

Need more tokens mid-month? Buy credit packs:

• Starter Pack: 2,500 tokens for $7
• Pro Pack: 5,000 tokens for $12
• Enterprise Pack: 15,000 tokens for $30

Credits never expire.
